Salesforce Hired Seven New AI Employees. Meet the Team.

Salesforce just gave its AI agents name tags, job titles, and apparently enough personality to warrant introductions. Say hello to Casey, Paige, Carter, Hunter, Marshall, Piper, and Fin — the newest hires who will never ask for a raise, a lunch break, or PTO.

Meet the New Org Chart

Announced September 11, 2026 as part of Agentforce 360, each of the seven agents is built for a specific job function: Casey handles customer service across voice, SMS, WhatsApp, and chat; Paige resolves internal IT and HR requests inside Slack and employee portals; Carter helps shoppers compare products and checkout; Marshall runs back-office and supply-chain processes with a full audit trail; Piper qualifies inbound B2B leads; and Fin — powered by Salesforce's "Operator" and Fin Apex models — handles complex customer experience workflows across every channel.

Six of the seven are generally available now. Hunter, the outbound sales agent, is still in pilot and is the first to run on a new long-horizon runtime designed to pursue a goal — like working a sales pipeline — over weeks or months instead of a single chat session.

The Part That Actually Matters

Naming AI agents like coworkers is partly marketing, but the long-horizon runtime buried in the Hunter pilot is the genuinely interesting bit: it's a shift from "AI answers one question well" to "AI owns an ongoing piece of work and checks back in." That's a meaningfully different product than a chatbot with a name tag.

The bigger tell is Salesforce betting an entire product strategy on giving AI agents job titles instead of feature names — a sign that "agentic AI" is moving from tech-demo novelty toward something enterprises are expected to budget for like headcount.

Whether Hunter closes more deals than your actual sales team remains, delightfully, an open question.

Curious what a well-scoped AI agent could actually take off your team's plate — not a Salesforce-sized bet, just the right one for your business? That's the conversation to have with James and WTK.
